EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AFFECTING PHYSICAL DISABILITY STUDENT REFLECTED IN STEPHEN CHOBSKY’S WONDER (2017)

This research aims to analyze: 1) How are the emotions of physicaldisability student reflected in Wonder (2017) by Stephen Chobsky, and 2) Howare the roles of emotional support towards physical disability student showed inWonder (2017) by Stephen Chobsky.This research uses a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the film ofWonder (2017) directed by Stephen Chobsky as the object research. The datacollection methods include watching, reading, identifying, classifying, andselecting. The analyzing data of the research method by used displaying, explaning, and interpreting. The research analyzes the data by using emotionalsupport and Sigmund Freud Psychoanalysis.The results of this study show 1) the main character in the movie Wonder (2017) experiences five types of emotions, namely, anger, fear, surprise, happiness, and sadness. 2) emotional support succeeded in helping the maincharacter to get through his crisis period which has been identified with SigmundFreud's Psychoanalysis theory.
