<note>This research aims to analyze: 1) to identify the use of figurative languagein selected songs by Nicole Zefanya, known professionally as NIKI, that gainedpopularity on the social media platform TikTok between 2020 and 2024. 2) Toanalyze the most dominant type of figurative language found in nikki’s song. Thisresearch uses qualitative method to analyze the song of Nicole Zefanya (2022-2024) that gained popularity on the Tiktok. written by Nicole Zefanya as the objectresearch. The data collection methods including listening, reading, identifying, andselecting. The researcher utilizes Perrine’s theory of figurative language to analyzethe use of figurative expressions in selected songs by Nicole Zefanya, professionally known as NIKI, that gained widespread popularity on TikTokbetween 2020 and 2024. The results show that various types of figurative languageare employed throughout the selected songs, with the most dominant type. Thesefigurative elements significantly enhance the lyrical depth and emotional resonanceof the songs, which may contribute to their viral spread on social media. This studyis expected to provide both theoretical insights into stylistic analysis and practicalvalue for educators, students, and professionals in the music and literary fields.
