IMPROVING STUDENTS’ SPEAKING ABILITY THROUGH VIDEO YOUTUBE CHANNEL “RITUELI DAELI” AT THE STUDENT OF MTS DARUTTHOLIBIN WATUMALANG
XMLEnglish is an international language that is widely used in variousparts of the world, including Indonesia. Despite this, learners oftenface various obstacles, especially in speaking skills. Teachingspeaking skills involves a process of guiding students to achievethe expected communicative competence. Therefore, strategicefforts are needed to overcome these problems. The researcher usesYouTube videos from the “Ritueli Daeli” channel as a method toimprove students' speaking skills. The purpose of this study is tocreate an interesting learning experience by using engaging videosand to assess the effectiveness of YouTube videos in improvingstudents' speaking skills. The subjects of this study are seventh grade students of MTs Daruttholibin Watumalang, and there searchusesaClassroomAction Research (CAR)design. The instrumentsincludeinterviews, observation sheets, speaking tests, anddocumentation. The research is carried out in two cycles. In posttestI, the average student score reaches 72.32, with 58% ofstudents scoring above 70. In post-test II, the average scoreincreases to 74.87, with 83% of students scoring above 70. Theuse of the YouTube video channel “Ritueli Daeli” effectivelyimproves students’ speaking skills. This method helps create amore engaging and interactive English learning experience.
