This study is aimed to analyze: (1) the indications of anxiety reflected in themain character of Oppenheimer in “Oppenheimer”, (2) the main character’s mentalstate as the sufferer of anxiety disorder presented in “Oppenheimer”.The study used a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the film entitled“Oppenheimer” directed by Christopher Nolan as the objective research. Thecollecting data of the research method includes watching and reading, identifying,classifying, and selecting. The analyzing data of the research method by usingdisplaying, analyzing, and explaining. The researcher analyzes the data by usingSigmund Freud Psychoanalysis.The result of the study: (1) the kind of anxiety disorder reflected in themain character in Oppenheimer are neurotic anxiety, reality anxiety, and moralityanxeity; (2) the psychological condition of Oppenheimer as anxiety sufferer is alsodescribed through the behavior of moral and ethical burdens, stress and pressure,internal conflict, insomnia, isolation, and betrayal. From the perspective of Freud'spsychoanalytic theory, his morally burdened behavior reflects the dominance of theid, with the ego struggling to control its impulses and the superego's moral standardsoverridden by immediate desires. Oppenheimer's stressed attitude is also the resultof the interaction between the id, ego, and superego. These psychological forcesshape his thoughts, emotions, and behavior, which ultimately influences hisexcessive worry and prolonged anxiety.
