This study is aimed to analyze : (1) what speech act types are foundin the dialogue of the movie Anyone But You (2023), (2) what speech actfunctions are found in the dialogue of the movie Anyone But You (2023).The study uses a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the filmentitled Anyone But You (2023) directed by Will Gluck as the objectiveresearch. The collecting data of the research method includes watching andreading, identifying, classifying, and selecting. The analyzing data of theresearch method by using displaying, explaining, and interpreting. Theresearcher analyzes the data by using Pragmatic approach with Speech Actand Halliday’s Language Function theory.The result of the study : (1) all types of Illocutionary Speech Act arefound in the dialogue of the movie Anyone But You (2023) such asdeclarations or declaratives, representatives, expressives, directives, andcommissives; (2) the speech act functions are found in the dialogue of themovie Anyone But You (2023) are in the form of seven language functions,that are regulatory function, instrumental function, representational function,interactional function, heuristic function, personal function, and imaginativefunction.
