This study aims to analyze an American drama film written and directed byJustin Chon with the formulation of problems as follows: (1) how the form of racismtoward Korean–American adoptees is represented in Blue Bayou (2021), (2) howthe society’s reaction toward racial different is presented in Blue Bayou (2021).This study uses a descriptive qualitative method to analyze a movie entitled BlueBayou (2021). The result of the study: (1) the form of racism includes colorism,structural racism, and individual racism (2) the society’s reaction toward racialdifferences, including empathy, care, ignorance, punish the perpetrators of racism.
