Two main problems are represented in this research, thos includes; How isChinese immigrant parenting style in U.S.A towards main character‟spsychological condition reflected in Turning Red (2022) and How is the effect ofparenting style on the main character‟s emotion and behavior is presented inTurning Red (2022).The researcher uses psychology of literature and parenting style approachin doing the process of the research. This research is descriptive qualitativeresearch. It means that the researcher explains every finding and interprets it basedon the theory used. The researcher takes Turning Red (2022) movie as the objectof this research. The data sources are words, narration and subtitle of the movie inTurning Red (2022) provided on the Disney Hotstar, directed by Domee Shi.There are step for the collecting data such as watching, reading, identifying,classifying and selecting. While in analyzing data, there are three steps whichresearcher uses, those are exposing, explaining and interpreting.As the result, the researcher found that the parenting style of Chineseimmigrant in U.S.A element within this research. They are firstly, psychologicalcondition which belongs to main character is dominate with the id. It means thatthe id, ego, and superego are not balanced. Secondly, the effect of parenting styleclearly describe on the main character which are convey their emotions in thewrong way, are not good at making decisions, lack self-confidence, and oftencompare themselves with other people.
