The School for Good and Evil, a film directed by Paul Feig, is analyzed using VFXtechnology and Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic’s theory. This research aims tobuild people's critical awareness of media technology that brings changes in thevalue order. The analysis carried out is related to the problem formulationmentioned in the first chapter, first, how are the application of VFX that representhyperreality in the movie The School for Good and Evil (2022)? Second, how arethe meanings of hyperreality symbols constructed in films? The researcher used aqualitative method to examine the problem. This research also includes datacollection procedures and data analysis procedures with a semiotic perspective. Theresults of this study, first, the representation of hyperreality in the film can be seenafter the application of VFX and it is applied to help produce meaning, second,semiotics explains about hyperreality in the triadic symbol method and shows howthe hyperreality brings fairy matters into concrete portrayal through the movie.Keywoards: VFX technology, Hyperreality, Semiotic
