    THE IMPROVING OF USING PEN HURRICANE GAME AS A BRAINSTORMING TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILLS ON THE 8 GRADE AT MTS N 1 WONOSOBO

    This research deals with students’ speaking skills as the one of basic language skills. The aim of this research to proof that the use of Pen Hurricane Game as a brainstorming is effective to improve students’ speaking skills on the 8 grade of MTS N 1 Wonosobo academic year 2022/2023. According to (Lynne, 2002) speaking is around making individuals get it speaker's feeling and concepts by doing an act of communication using language. The method used in this research is CAR (Classroom Action Research) by using four action research procedures namely planning, action or implementation, observation, and reflection. This research conducts on two cycles.The instruments of the research used to collect the data such as are interview, questionnaire, and observation. The result of the research proof that Pen Hurricane Game increases the quality of learning process, especially students' speaking skills on the eight grade of MTs N 1 Wonosobo. The result of this research are students learning behavior have changes, students' have become more concentrate, enthusiastic, pay attention to the material, and the learning process become more active. The using of Pen Hurricane Game also increases students' speaking skills based on the students' test score. The increases of students' score gained by the increasing of speaking aspect such as volume, pronunciation, fluency, idea development, punctuality and the word selection. In the pre cycle test, the average score is 13,8, in the cycle 1 increases to 16,00 and the last cycle is 19,00.
