    Vocabulary is a very important and very basic thing in learning 'a language'. Without vocabulary, we can’t master the four skills in English, including listening, reading, speaking, and writing. The researcher aims to determine the increase in students' English vocabulary skills using the Active Voice Flashcards as a learning technique in the classroom. This research is qualitative research with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out at MI Ma'arif Cisumur, with samples taken from 1 class, namely grade 5. This research is conducted by following the model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart with the following action research procedures: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research is conducted in two cycles. Data are collected in this research through interviews, field notes, questionnaires, and tests. The results of this study show that: (1) The application of learning using the Active Voice Flashcards Technique is able to increase the English vocabulary skills of grade V students. (2)There are differences in increasing students' vocabulary skills before using the Active Voice Flashcards Technique and after using the Active Voice Flashcards Technique. This is evidenced by the results of the final test scores produced by students at each meeting. The mean score of students on the pre-test is 64,55. The mean score in the first cycle is 73,6. The mean score in the second cycle is 86,34. In conclusion, the use of the Active Voice Flashcards technique is able to increase the student’s vocabulary skills.
