<note>Speaking is one of six skills taught in the senior high school phase E class X independent curriculum, but it has received little attention thus far. Many teachers devote far too much time to grammar or structure rather than communication. Because of these factors, it is not surprising that students frequently complain and grumble when their teacher asks them to practice speaking English. The main purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Practice-Rehearsal Pairs in teaching speaking to tenth-grade students at SMK Pelita Al-Qur'an Krasak Mojotengah Wonosobo, to determine whether Practice Rehearsal  Pairs can improve speaking ability, and to determine student perceptions of the use of Practice-Rehearsal Pairs. Practice rehearsal Pair is a simple strategy for memorizing and repeating skills or procedures by partner learning. The strategy is expected to improve students’ speaking ability in English. This research is quantitative research using the experimental method. The subject of this research is two classes of tenth grade at SMK Pelita AL-Qur’an. The two classes was divided into the experimental class the and control class. The researcher use a pre-test as a means to test students’ abilities before the experiment was conducted, and a post-test to test students’ abilities after the experiment was conducted.</note>
