    Vocabulary is a very basic and very important thing to learn when welearn ‘bahasa’. Without mastering vocabulary, we can’t master the four skills inEnglish they are listening, reading, speaking, and writing. This research has someobjective: (1) To find out the use songs as a media for learning English to improvestudents vocabulary skills. (2) To measure effect of using videos song lyrics onYouTube yo improve students vocabulary skills, (3) To measure the differencebetween students taught by using videos song lyrics on YouTube and those taughtwithout using videos song lyrics on YouTube. This research uses videos songlyrics on YouTube to improve students vocabulary skill at second grade of juniorhigh school of MTsN 2 Wonosobo. This research is a quantitative research withthe type of experimental research carry out at MTsN 2 Wonosobo, with 2 classestaken as samples. Data collection techniques are carried out by means ofobservation, tests, and documentation. The results of this research indicate that:(1) the application of the learning method using song lyrics of videos on YouTubeas learning media can improve the vocabulary skills of class VIII D students atMTsN 2 Wonosobo. (2) there is a difference in the improvements of studentsvocabulary skills between classes taught by using videos song lyrics on YouTubeas a media of learning and classes taught without using videos song lyrics onYouTube as a media of learning. This is evidenced by the results of thecalculation of the t test of 4.75 with a ttable at an error level of 1% = 2.68 and at anerror level of 5% = 2.01. So it shows that tcount > ttable then H1 is accepted.
