IMPROVING STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION THROUGH MIND MAPPING METHODS AT FIRST GRADE IN SMK PURNAMA WONOSOBO

The purpose behind this review is to utilize mind mapping to improve readingcomprehension among first-graders at SMK Purnama. Throughout the research, theanalyst included English educators, namely English teachers and first graders ofVocational High Schools, especially in class XA Pharmacy. This research wasconducted at SMK Purnama Wonosobo in the 2022/2023 school year as a researchsubject. The subjects of this study comprised of 28 students, 9 men, and 19 women.The research was conducted using classroomiactioniresearchi(CAR). In directingthis activity research, the analyst isolated the activity intoItwoIcycles.ResearcherIwork withIEnglish educators inIdoing theIactivity. ThisiresearchIdatauses quantitative methods. Quantitative information from theIpre-test, post-testII,and post-testIII, Show thatIthe typical understudyIscore keeps expanding eachItest.TheItypical scoreIofIStudents inIthe pre-testIwas 65.5, thereIwere 10IStudents(35.7%) whoImet theIBase Culmination measures (75). InIthe post-testIin cycleIIthereIwere 18Istudents (75.6%) whoIachieved a score of 75 or expanded to 75.InIthe post-testIin cycleIII thereIwere 23Istudents (82%) whoIpassed theIBaseCulmination measures (75). In light of the quantitative information above, it verywell may beIseen thatIstudents scoresIshowed an increment fromIthe firstIto thelastItest. TheImins mapping technique shows that all learning exercises contributenot exclusively to expanding students' understanding cognizance yet to additionstudents' advantage, excitement, certainty, and inspiration.
